Event  Officiating

Instructions are written below each screenshot.

If you are helping officiate a Field Event or helping in the Bull Pen or at the Start Line you will need to have the Meettrax App on a Phone or Tablet.

If you don't have an account you will need to create one.

Once you have logged into the app you will go into the "Tools" tab then tap on "Officiate An Event" ⬇️

On the next screen you will enter the Meet Access Code for this meet - if that code has not been given to you please contact a Viewmont Coach - if you cannot find one call/text Andy - 801-869-0116 ⬇️

Once you have the code enter it, the code is not case sensitive, THEN hit "Submit" ⬇️

If it was entered correctly you will be taken directly to the meet. From here you will see the scheduled events. With this access you will be able to help check-in or seed running athletes AND fully officiate any of the field events. ⬇️

From this list pick the event that you have been assigned to officiate. ⬇️

Officiating the High Jump Event

Once inside of an event you will tap on the "Officiate This Event" ⬇️

Your view will now look like this and you can begin to manage your event.  If you have any questions about how to officiate this event tap on the Gear ⚙️  icon in the top right for info. ⬇️

This page has officiating instructions and for the High Jump this has your height progression information. Inside the "Manage Flights and Seeding" page are some other options that we will discuss below the discus instructions. ⬇️

Back on the event page you need to make sure that your "Flight Status" is showing what you need it to show.  The options are Pending, First Call, Second Call, Third Call, In Progress, and Completed.  ⬇️

As soon as you are ready at your event location and in the correct event in the app select "First Call" and tap "Set Status" ⬇️

Once you are in First, Second, or Third Call OR In Progress - you can check in Athletes. ⬇️

You can check in each athlete as they arrive by swiping or tapping on the toggle button.  If everyone arrives at once you can select All. ⬇️

For High Jump you can set their preferred "Opening Height" OH - this will keep them out of the lower height jumps, and once you have reached their bar height you will then be able to record their jump attempts.  Once you have done this or if no adhjustments are necessary tap "Save" to get back to the prior screen. ⬇️

Once you have worked through your First, Second, and Third Calls and are ready to begin the competition you need to change the "Flight Status" to "In Progress." ⬇️

Once you are "In Progress" you can begin recording marks. ⬇️

In order to get the list of athletes that are competing on any given bar height you need to set the bar height. ⬇️

If no one has requested a lower opening bar height below what is preloaded into the meet then you can tap on the lowest Opening Height. ⬇️

You will get a secondary verification screen, if you are sure you have picked the correct height tap "Set Height." ⬇️

Your Screen will then look like this and you will be ready to begin recording the results from each athlete's jump, you do this by tapping the Pencil ✏️ icon on the appropriate line and column to edit the result. ⬇️

Once you tap on the pencil icon you will be able to pick from this list of results - if they cleared the bar you will tap "Make" if they didn't clear the bar "Miss" or if they decide after you have started the event that they want to pass an attempt or the entire height you can record that here. ⬇️

Once everyone has passed the bar or made their 3 attempts and you have recorded them you will then need to tap "Change Bar Height" to record the next attempts at the new bar height. Proceed in this manner until all athletes have missed a height. ⬇️

If you need to add a new bar height (either higher or lower than the options that were given) you can do that by tapping on the small pencil icon next to the height mark at the top of any column - Tap on the pencil next to the height that is directly above or below new height you are adding. ⬇️

Inside this menu you can either change the height of the mark that you tapped on, add a height below that mark, or a height after. ⬇️

Once you have tapped the option you want it brings you to this screen - for ease of use it is set up in separate sections for feet, inches, and quarter inches.  If you make and error you can tap on the backspace button in the feet section or the "C" in any section to correct it. ⬇️

Once you have entered your new added height you tap ADD then SAVE
(NOTE - it allows for a custom height that is not higher than the previous if you check the box indicating that this height is acting as a tie breaker.)

Once the given Flight is over and all results are recorded  this is approximately what your screen will look like. ⬇️

At that point you will need to change the Flight Status to Completed.  This will lock the results from being edited on your device. ⬇️

You will then repeat the above process again for the next flight.
